A new report by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA.com) found that Minnesotans spent $661.5 million on a new powerboat, engine, trailer or accessories last year. That’s up 10 percent from 2014. Boating in Minnesota has become an obsession. And with the statistics that follow we will blow you away with how much we Minnesotan’s love being on the water.
You may not believe what you are reading when you see this statistic covered in the same article from tcbmag.com that Minnesotans are in fact some of the nation’s biggest buyers in the recreational boating market. Spending in the Minnesota surpassed all but three other water-heavy states—Florida ($2.6 billion), Texas ($1.4 billion) and Michigan ($842.5 million).
Did you know we have a local game changer in water recreation, that’s right straight out of Richmond, Minnesota came the pontoon boat!
