Product Design Engineer III
The Opportunity:
We need a highly motivated and innovative product design engineer to be a part of our engineering team. The Product Design Engineer III role demands a passion for bringing ideas to life through design and development while utilizing your engineering background to apply sound principles in your work. You’ll be responsible for driving innovation by creating new products as well as making improvements to existing Canvas Craft items. Every day presents new opportunities as you contribute your expertise to a wide variety of products, playing a vital role in our growing team.
The Obstacles:
You will need to utilize your technical expertise, CAD proficiency, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to overcome the design challenges you will face while also ensuring product functionality, safety, and compliance with industry standards. Meticulous organization and upkeep of all documentation of drawings, designs, and customer files is a must. You not only need to thrive on these challenges but must have the resilience to navigate the unique terrain of a small business. This means wearing many different hats within the organization while maintaining the Canvas Craft core values: Prudence, a Positive “Can Do” Attitude, and Teamwork/Collaboration. You must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and must adapt quickly to the changing sales, operation, and customer requirements you will encounter. You must also take ownership of projects and drive them to 100% completion. There may be times this role requires to travel to sites to gather more information to complete projects.

Necessary Role Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in product design, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, product design engineering technology, or related field (preferred)
Minimum of 4 years of experience in product design, manufacturing, or related field
Certified SolidWorks Professional (preferred)
Experience in Rhino, Autometrix, and/or Prodim is a plus
