Position Overview

The Shop Assistant supports daily production and operational activities within our manufacturing environment. This full-time, on-site role assists multiple departments with fabrication, assembly, shipping, facility upkeep, and seasonal boat-related work. The position is critical to maintaining efficient workflow, high-quality craftsmanship, and a clean, safe production environment.

Key Responsibilities

General Shop & Facility Support

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

  • Keep outdoor lot clean and orderly.

  • Dispose of waste materials according to schedule.

Production & Fabrication Support

  • Pull, measure, and cut materials as directed.

  • Assist with product assembly across departments.

  • Install hardware and support repair work.

Shipping & Inventory

  • Package and prepare outgoing shipments.

  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Previous shop or manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching.

Work Environment

This position operates in a production and fabrication environment with exposure to equipment, tools, and industrial machinery. Team members must follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times and use required protective equipment.

Position Details

  • Full Time with potential for Overtime

  • $18-$21/Hour

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, flexible schedule available

  • Reports to Production Supervisor
